The Plenary Commission of the Smart Destinations Network has today approved the addition of 37 members, taking its total number to 305: 186 destinations, 50 institutions and 69 collaborating companies.

The minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, awarded the Smart Destination designation to nine destinations during Fitur. These destinations were Palma, Murcia, Puerto del Rosario, Salamanca, Torremolinos, Campo de Gibraltar, Los Alcázares, Osuna and Peñíscola.
Enrique Martínez Marín, Chairman of SEGITTUR, today awarded the mayor of Burgos, Daniel de la Rosa, the Smart Destination associate designation. Accessibility and sustainability were the categories for which Burgos received its highest marks.
