The Eli Gastroportal Chatbot has won the Chatbot Tourism Awards 2022, organised by SEGITTUR and the Fitur International Tourism Trade Fair as part of Fitur Know-How & Export, together with Planeta Chatbot, a leading Spanish information portal specialising in chatbots artificial intelligence.
For this edition there were a total of eight applications, including chatbots for destinations and for tourism services, and the finalists were Bahía Príncipe Hotels & Resorts, Eli Gastroportal and Kolotrip.
The project presented by each of the finalists was assessed on the basis of four parameters: usability, cognitive capacity, fulfilment of the purpose for which it was created, and user experience.
The awards were judged by Ángel Hernández, Managing Partner at Chatbot Chocolate; Víctor Badorrey, Director of Institutional Relations at SEGITTUR; Mayte Vañó, Director of Communication at the Valencia Region’s Distrito Digital; David Bueno Vallejo, Professor at the University of Málaga and expert in AI; and Gonzalo Belenguer, Director General of REDIT.
The experts agree that the Eli Gastroportal Chatbot responds perfectly to the user when interacting with the establishment and managing the reservation. Furthermore, it loads quickly, and uses language in a way that is both helpful and friendly, which means that it is almost possible to have a “conversation” with the bot.
It should be noted that the “user experience” and “fulfilment of the purpose for which it was created” are the two parameters most highly valued by the members of the jury, in addition to a good understanding of bookings management.
