SEGITTUR and Fitur have announced the fourth edition of the Chatbot Tourism Awards 2022, the competition for tourism chatbots and voice apps, which will be held as part of Fitur Know-How & Export in recognition of the increasing importance of virtual assistants helping tourists at different stages of their trips.
The aim of the competition is to find the best chatbot and conversational technology solutions, both nationally and internationally, developed by destinations and companies in the tourism sector to improve tourists’ experience before, during and after their trip.
There will be a single category in this fourth edition of the competition, and the award will go to the best Tourism Chatbot of 2022. Companies throughout the tourism sector can compete – hotel chains, airlines, travel agencies, tourism destinations, etc.
The deadline for submitting a chatbot for consideration is Wednesday 12 January, and the awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 20 January at Fitur Know-How & Export.
Moreover, both virtual assistants based on messaging applications, such as WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger, or proprietary channels like websites or mobile apps and those bots that are primarily voice-based in environments such as Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa or SIRI, will be able to participate.
As in previous editions, SEGITTUR will enjoy the support of Planeta Chatbot, the leading portal for information chatbots on artificial intelligence in Spanish, as well as a jury of experts in technology and tourism.
Chatbots and voice apps interested in taking part can do so via the online form available on the SEGITTUR website.
