The Plenary Commission of the Smart Destinations Network has today approved the addition of 37 members, taking its total number to 305: 186 destinations, 50 institutions and 69 collaborating companies.

The Commission, which was held in Benidorm during the celebration of the Digital Tourist Conference 2021, welcomed the participation of Red.es and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP).

Smart Destinations Network initiatives

During this time, collaboration with the Region of Valencia, the Region of Murcia and Extremadura in terms of Smart Destinations has been strengthened and collaboration protocols have been signed to promote Smart Destinations with the Basque Country, Andalusia, Cantabria and the local government of Mallorca.

To continue to raise awareness, the Cultural Heritage Group has been launched, with 30 founding Network members expressing their wish to join, led by the Santa María la Real Foundation and the Group of World Heritage Cities.
