The Smart Destinations Network celebrates its third anniversary with a total of 483 new members, of which 328 are destinations; 63 are institutions, 89 are collaborating companies and three are international observers.
Bogotá is the third city in Latin America to be accredited as a Smart Destination, a distinction awarded by the State Society for the Management of Innovation and Tourism Technologies (SEGITTUR), which falls under the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism.
SEGITTUR has produced the second edition of the Smart Tourism Destinations catalogue, the aim being to list the different products and services that can help destinations on their journey to becoming smart destinations.

The Eli Gastroportal Chatbot has won the Chatbot Tourism Awards 2022, organised by SEGITTUR and the Fitur International Tourism Trade Fair as part of Fitur Know-How & Export, together with Planeta Chatbot, a leading Spanish information portal specialising in chatbots artificial intelligence.
The Secretary of State for Tourism, Fernando Valdés, presented the Smart Destination mark to fourteen destinations as part of FITUR.
